An Edinburgh bar has apologised after a customer left a disgruntled review.
The Three Sisters in Cowgate is popular for students, non-students and sport fans alike, but one customer was left dissatified after a server said the "couldn't read minds."
Posting on Tripadvisor, the student explained that when they ordered shots, they were met with a sharp reply from a staff member who snapped back: "I can't read minds."

The Three Sisters have insisted they will 'investigate this incident fully to ensure it doesn't happen again'.
The punter wrote: "I went to Three Sisters on a Tuesday night and was rudely served. I asked for a four shots and after they were poured I was asked to pay which I then said I had student discount. He replied with angrily said, “I can’t read minds”.
"I was confused to what he meant. He went on to shout and say, “I can’t read minds. How am I meant to know you had student discount. You should have said this before I poured the drinks.”
"I said I didn’t know that was what I was meant to do as it had not been an issue anywhere else I had been and for the previous drinks I had bought.
"He then continued to be rude and I said I didn’t want the shots anymore which he then replied with, “well you are not being served anymore”, and poured the drink back into the bottles.
"I think this is shocking behaviour as I had done nothing wrong and not drunk or rude to him. I also think it’s unhygienic to be pouring the drink back into the bottle as anything could have happened to the drink from that time. He was also rude to other customers by shouting at them for no reason."
The Three Sisters quickly responded: "Thank you for taking the time to post a review for us, we appreciate your feedback. This is certainly not what we expect of our service standards and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. I will investigate this incident fully and ensure this does not happen again."
The popular bar and restaurant currently ranks three and a half on the review site with many praising the service and atmosphere.
Another guest wrote: "Great night had by all, looked after very well by William who made sure we were never without a drink. Will be back soon."
A second added: "What can I say - what a night out!!! We were treated like royalty and our server was called Eilidh. She really stood out, service with a smile."
