The APEC CEO Summit 2022 will be hosted face-to-face for the first time in three years, in Bangkok, Thailand, from 16 November to 18 November 2022. The three-day window of opportunity is opened for exchanges of views, best practices, and strategies for sustainable and inclusive growth in the region.

ABAC, or APEC Business Advisory Council, was established by APEC economic leaders in 1995 to advise leaders and APEC officials on issues relating to business and economy. ABAC formed and worked with various issues working groups to focus on specific sector and industry to formulate the appropriate recommendation and course of action. Specific areas that ABAC worked on are Financial and Economy, Sustainability, Digitalization, Regional Economic Integration, and MSME and inclusion.
As the world is transitioning to a new economy in many sectors, many new industries will emerge and will require new standards of operating. Prominent areas include electric vehicles (EV) and high-performance lithium-ion batteries manufacturing, green industries, food and alternative food, to name a few. Thailand can share many of cases studies that are based in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) where many have operated and going through this transition.
Food for the Future, the new trend for food market expansion has seen Thailand become an agriculture powerhouse offering enriched farming landscapes and large-scale workforces utilizing advance digital technology to gain enhanced yield and nutrition standards as well as other advantages that the markets demand.
