Christian Pulisic is fully focused on returning to domestic football with Chelsea but admits 'anything can happen' amid rife transfer speculation.
American star Pulisic has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in January, with Liverpool one of several sides across Europe reportedly keen on a loan deal. While club sources have dismissed the speculation - gossip columns have suggested the Reds could face competition from the likes of Newcastle United in the Premier League, as well as several top teams from across the continent.
Chelsea are said to be unsure as to how to deal with Pulisic's situation, with the 24-year-old unable to maintain a consistent place in Graham Potter's team. He has started just four games since the former Brighton boss took over at the start of September, and with the London club eager to strengthen upfront, those minutes are unlikely to rise significantly.

That uncertainty around playing time has been at the centre of speculation, and Pulisic has admitted that 'anything can happen' regarding his future but added that at this moment, he is aiming to return fit-and-firing for the Blues.
"I mean, right now I’m absolutely back at Chelsea and focused and ready to finish the season," Pulisic told the Indirect Podcast. "But you know how things work in football. Things change quickly and anything can happen. At the moment I am just pushing myself in training and working at Chelsea because that’s where I am right now."
Liverpool's links with a loan move for the American seemingly stem from Jurgen Klopp's potential desire to find cover for the injured pair of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota. Portuguese winger Jota is expected to be out until February as he continues to recover from a long-term calf injury, but it is the blow to Diaz during the club's mid-season training camp in Dubai that seemingly forced action.
The Colombian had been out of action since suffering a knee injury in the 3-2 defeat at Arsenal in October, but flew out with the rest of the squad as he stepped up his rehabilitation over the World Cup break. Yet just days into the camp, complaints of pain in the knee saw the 25-year-old flown back to the UK where further assessment presented the need for surgery and a likely layoff until March.
Klopp had previously worked with Pulisic during the pair's time at Borussia Dortmund and the Reds boss is known to be an admirer of his former player. Liverpool saw a bid of £11million to Borussia Dortmund in 2016 rejected before the forward joined Chelsea three years later for £57million.
