Anyone’s Legend beat BLG to win 2026 LPL championship

Anyone’s Legend finally did the impossible and won the 2026 LPL Championship. The team beat Bilibili Gaming 3-1 on Sept. 13 and secured China’s first seed at the League of Legends World Championship. The victory is AL’s second LPL title after winning Split 2 in 2025 and ends BLG’s attempt to sweep all three domestic titles this season.

The series was a stark reminder of why Tarzan is called the king of the jungle in League of Legends, as he became the MVP in each of AL’s first two wins, including a 7/2/5 Qiyana performance in game one and an 8/0/6 Cho’Gath game in the second. Hope also stepped up massively, especially in the final game 4 with Miss Fortune, capitalizing on Kael’s and Tarzan’s engages.

AL spent much of 2026 close to the top without achieving anything substantial. They went 8:2 to finish first in the Split 1 regular-season Group S before eventually placing fourth, then finished fourth again in Split 2. Split 3 was less dominant on paper, with AL going 8:6 for fourth in Group Ascend, but they reached the upper-bracket final after beating LGD 3:1.

BLG had been AL’s biggest kryptonite throughout the year, as AL entered the Grand Final having lost their previous six series against BLG in 2026, including a 3:0 sweep in the upper-bracket final just six days earlier. That defeat dropped AL into the lower bracket and left them needing to beat Invictus Gaming simply to earn another shot at the title.

Invictus Gaming pushed AL to all five games in the lower-bracket final, and AL eventually scraped by 3:2 to secure at least the second seed at Worlds. Tarzan was also named Player of the Match in the series.

Anyone’s Legend is going to Worlds as China’s first seed, with Bilibili being number two. Top Esports and Invictus Gaming will decide the fate of seed three, with the loser of that game facing the winner of Team WE vs JD Gaming for the fourth and final spot.

All four LPL teams will advance directly to the Worlds Swiss Stage this year, so China’s fourth seed will not have to play through a preliminary qualification match. Worlds 2026’s Swiss Stage begins on Oct. 23 in Allen, Texas.
