People who were in the emergency department at Banner-University Medical Center Tucson on Thursday, Sept. 24, should watch for measles symptoms through Oct. 15, the Pima County Health Department said. An international visitor with measles was at the hospital, 1625 N. Campbell Ave., that day.
The visitor developed symptoms after direct exposure to a previously reported case in Colorado, according to the county. The person is not hospitalized and is isolating at home. Health officials said the overall risk to the public is low and are contacting people who may have been exposed.
