Antrim’s continued presence in Division One offers them an opportunity to test themselves against the very best teams in Ireland.
This weekend, they’ll open their 2023 League campaign by taking on Kilkenny in the first of three home games as they start a third successive season in Division One.
The game will also mark the start of a new era for Kilkenny following the retirement of the legendary manager Brian Cody and new boss Derek Lyng will be keen to begin his tenure with a victory.

Ballyhale’s Eoin Cody and TJ Reid have been named as captain and vice-captain respectively following their All-Ireland Club SHC final win over Dunloy last month.
Antrim’s Dunloy contingent recently returned to training with the county panel with Nigel Elliott rejoining the squad. However, defender Aaron Crawford remains sidelined after missing the club final with a broken collarbone.
The Saffrons are also without Conor McCann, Ciaran Clarke, Conor Johnston and Domhnall Nugent for the visit of the Cats.
