An MLA has hit out at flags being used in “a clear attempt at intimidation” amid failed talks to have them removed.
Sinn Féin MLA Declan Kearney expressed his “dismay and deep frustration at the refusal to remove flags” erected at the St Comgall’s Chapel Corner in Antrim Town.
The South Antrim representative spoke out after what he called “behind the scenes attempts to address the situation” failed to resolve the situation. Some flags were removed, however tension remains, it is claimed.
