Antony has slammed an agent group for claiming to have played a part in negotiating his £85m transfer from Ajax to Manchester United.
The winger, who scored on his United debut against Arsenal on Sunday, completed the switch on deadline day last week. However, since then, a bitter £20m spat between two agents has erupted with both claiming they had the biggest role in organising the Old Trafford switch.
As per the Mirror, Junior Pedroso — Antony’s agent — says he had the most say in the matter but rivals Forza Sports Group took to Instagram last week to claim the transfer as their own. The social media post said: “What a historic year so far… Transfer agent on the (€)100M record breaking deal of Ajax and worldwide biggest transfer this year of Antony”.

Other clients on their roster who managed to get either new deals or moves away include one-time United target Jurrien Timber — who signed a new contract at Ajax — and Marseille-bound Manchester City loanee Issa Kabore.
Reacting to the Instagram post on Monday, Antony hit out at Forza Sports Group for wrongly claiming representation in the deal. “This must be a joke?!” the Brazilian wrote on his Instagram story, tagging the aforementioned post.
“After so much work by our team/family, an unknown person wants to take ownership of my transfer.
“I kindly ask you to delete my name from your publication, as YOU were not involved in the negotiation of the contract nor the negotiation of the transfer between the clubs. #respect.” As of Tuesday afternoon, the post has not been deleted and remains live.
The £85m fee for Antony was the largest in Dutch history with Ajax pulling in a tidy profit from the £31.5m they paid Sao Paulo for him in February 2020.
