Antony has admitted that he got goosebumps after walking out onto the Old Trafford turf ahead of kick-off and after scoring on his Manchester United debut against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
Fresh from completing his £85.1million move to Old Trafford from Ajax on transfer deadline day, the Brazilian was thrown straight into the starting line-up by manager Erik ten Hag. He replaced Anthony Elanga in the side, with Jadon Sancho switching to the left-flank.
Antony, who worked with Ten Hag at Ajax, marked his debut in memorable fashion with 35 minutes on the clock, connecting with Marcus Rashford's pass and burying a low, left-footed effort beyond Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. It was a measured finish from the 22-year-old and it threatened to blow the roof off of Old Trafford.

It ensured the Brazilian marked his debut for the club with a moment that he will never forget.
"To score my first goal and share this moment with the crowd, with a great atmosphere, was brilliant," Antony told United's club website. "From the moment I stepped on to the pitch, I already had goosebumps because I know how much I wanted to be here and I know how much the crowd wanted this.
"When I saw the ball going in, and the net shaking, I express all my feelings the way I did. Yes, it gave me goosebumps for sure."
Reflecting on the goal itself, Antony continued: "Marcus passed the ball to perfection so when it came [to me], there was not much more I had to do. I saw the goalkeeper and the ball just came perfectly to me to place it as I did.
"I was very happy to just go with my instinct."
Although Rashford — who scored twice in the second-half — claimed the all-important assist for Antony's opener, it was the brilliance of midfield duo Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes that were at the very heart of the move. The latter provided the pass that sprung the attack, taking the Arsenal midfield out of the game.
"Bruno Fernandes had the ball, I think he shrugged off Gabriel Jesus, and then he touched the ball to Jadon Sancho," Antony added, reflecting on the quality of the goal. "Sancho made the touch to Marcus and I knew he could slip the ball either way.
"And when Marcus, being a very intelligent player, realised I could make a run, I just took off. He slipped the ball and I took the chance well."
