Antony has vowed to continue using skill moves in matches after his signature turn against FC Sheriff received a mixed reception.
Antony started against Sheriff at Old Trafford on Thursday night and he produced his signature turn, dubbed 'the Antony spin', in the first half, which was followed by the forward losing possession when the game was goalless.
Although the crowd cheered the piece of skill, it proved to be a controversial moment, especially considering he lost the ball after performing it. Paul Scholes and Robbie Savage, who were both working for BT Sport, criticised Antony.

Antony has now addressed the criticism he has faced, writing: "We're known for our art and I won't stop doing what got me to where I am!"
The Brazilian was brought off at half-time but Erik ten Hag denied his showboating was the reason for the substitution.
"I don't have a problem with tricks as long as it's functional," Ten Hag said. "I demand more from him - more runs behind, more often in the box and more playing in the pocket. When there is a trick like that, it's nice as long as it's functional. If you're not losing the ball, then it's OK - but if it's a trick because of a trick, then I will correct him."
