United are not yet back on top of the tree, but there have been enough encouraging signs since Erik ten Hag was appointed in the summer. Since then, the popular centre-back has been celebrating hard with international teammates back in his homeland. Back on these shores, though, more traditional festivities have been had.
Brazil forward Antony dressed up as Santa for the morning, delivering presents to his family. In a caption posted on Instagram, he said: "That the meaning of this day is present in your heart son, for Jesus was born and along with him the greatest love in the world, I love you my son, Merry Christmas and always be happy."
David de Gea was, meanwhile, tagged in a post by his partner - Spanish singer and actress Edurne - along with their daughter, all wearing Christmas jumpers. A short caption read: "Merry Christmas!"
Casemiro followed a similar theme as his wife, Anna Mariana, shared family snaps from Christmas Eve. In their joint message, she posted: "Merry Christmas! Thank you God for sending your son to save us! Family's our greatest asset."
Academy graduate Marcus Rashford took time away from family to post a video clip for supporters. In that, he said: "Hi everyone. Just a quick message to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope you all have a great time. Enjoy your time with family and friends. All the best from me."
