Manchester United supporters have called on Erik ten Hag to name a strong side for the Carabao Cup tie against Championship outfit Burnley.
The Reds return to competitive action following the World Cup break on Wednesday night, with Ten Hag's men looking to progress to the next round of the EFL Cup at the expense of Vincent Kompany's side. United, who secured a victory over Fulham in their last competitive match, are expected to play a host of first-team stars against Burnley.
Ten Hag's side currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, but have a game in hand over fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. United are back in top-flight action on December 27, facing off against Nottingham Forest.

With the clash against Burnley providing the Reds with an opportunity to go one step closer to winning a trophy, MEN Sport's United readers have opted to choose a strong line-up for the match against the Kompany's side.
Goalkeeper - David de Gea
De Gea made an impressive start to the season, but missed out on a call-up to Spain's squad for the World Cup in Qatar. Given he has not played a competitive match since the win over Fulham, he might expect to start against Burnley, unless anything drastic happens before kick-off.
Defenders - Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia
Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are unavailable, so fans have backed Victor Lindelof to partner Harry Maguire at the heart of defence.
Luke Shaw featured heavily for England in the Middle East, while Diogo Dalot was also in action. In contrast, Tyrell Malacia struggled for minutes and has been tipped to start against Burnley as a result - with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is set to leave the club next year, starting at right-back.
Midfielders - Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen, Zidane Iqbal
United fans are keen for Ten Hag to start Scott McTominay and Zidane Iqbal.
Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen, who was named Player of the Month for September, has been tipped to return to the starting line-up after Denmark's underwhelming tournament.
Forwards - Antony, Anthony Martial, Alejandro Garnacho
With Cristiano Ronaldo having left the club following his controversial interview with Piers Morgan, there will be more opportunities for the club's younger stars to feature. Alejandro Garnacho, who scored the winner in the victory over Fulham prior to the break, is likely to play against Burnley.
Antony was part of Brazil's World Cup squad, but only started one match for Tite's side. Given Brazil exited the competition at the quarter-final stage, he could be included in the line-up for Wednesday's game.
Meanwhile, Anthony Martial is almost certain to lead the line. The Frenchman has registered four goals and two assists in seven appearances so far this season.
