Antonio Conte sends urgent transfer message to Daniel Levy for Tottenham signings

Antonio Conte is piling the pressure on Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to back him in the January window.

Conte has reinforced his message to club bosses that he needs reinforcements to snatch the fourth Champions League place this season.

Tottenham boss Conte has turned up his demands with his public declarations that his squad is not good enough and also leaving Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso out in the cold.

Conte is hoping that by shipping those players out it will clear the decks and help him land a new centre half and central midfielder who be believes his squad needs.

Tottenham have also been chasing Wolves ’ Adama Traore as he looks to strengthen his wide options and the possibility of using him as a wing back.

They have also been linked with moves for Inter Milan’s Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij and AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessié.

Conte is making it clear publicly that Tottenham are some distance from being title challengers or serious contenders for major trophies.

But he does believe they could sneak fourth with the right backing - and there have been concerns that unless Spurs back him then they could lose him.

Conte was guarded earlier this month when it came to categoric guarantees that he would stay at the club without the right support in the market and he is only on an 18 month contract.

The former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss is regarded as one of the best and most successful coaches in the world, did arrive with guarantees they would back him - and now he wants them to deliver.

England international Alli, 25, could be on his way out with both Newcastle and Everton watching developments with Spurs likely to be open to loan offers.

Ndombele is of interest to Paris Saint Germain who in turn could be ready to loan out ex-Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

Lo Celso was axed from Sunday’s London derby at Chelsea, is not part of Conte’s long term plans and the midfielder - who cost £27m when he moved on a permanent basis two years ago - took to his social media to insist he was fit but just not selected.
