Tottenham's pre-season campaign draws to a close this weekend with Italian side Roma their opponents in Israel. Unbeaten so far this summer after wins over Team K League and Rangers and a draw against Sevilla, Antonio Conte will have his fingers crossed for another positive result ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Rotating his team in the first two friendlies so he could give his Tottenham squad vital minutes on the pitch, the Italian surprised many by near enough naming his strongest XI in the win at Ibrox last Saturday. Only Ben Davies was missing from the team that secured a Champions League spot last term, with Davinson Sanchez taking his place due to the Welshman's ankle injury.
Having handed debuts to five of his six new signings in Glasgow, all will be looking to get a bit more time on the pitch when they face Jose Mourinho's team. It remains to be seen how exactly Spurs will line up on Saturday evening but the XI he fields from the off could be an indicator as to who starts in their Premier League opener against Southampton.

A number of places in his strongest team already appear to be sewn up, with right wing-back one of only a couple of positions that are very much there for the taking. Emerson Royal, Matt Doherty and new arrival Djed Spence are all fighting it out to be first choice next season as the boss looks to finalise the role in his team for good.
In the latest episode of Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham, our Spurs reporters Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discussed Saturday's friendly against Roma and why Conte's selection could indicate who he sees as his first-choice right wing-back in the months ahead. As well as the showdown against the Serie A side, the Lilywhites pre-season so far, Oliver Skipp's injury, Davies' new contract and Troy Parrott's loan spell are all discussed.
