Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has apparently put up to nine of his current squad on the transfer list as he continues to reshape his side ahead of the new season.
Spurs have been very busy in the market this summer ahead of the Italian’s first full season in north London. They have already welcomed six new faces to the club. Considerable sums have been spent on Richarlison and Yves Bissouma from Premier League rivals Everton and Brighton respectively, whilst young defender Djed Spence has arrived from Middlesbrough. Their other signings have been somewhat more shrewd.
Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster have both arrived on free transfers and have been followed by French centre-back Clement Lenglet, who has signed a season-long loan deal having left Barcelona.
After those incomings, it appears that Spurs have now turned their attention to getting a few of their current squad off the books. According to The Athletic, up to nine of the current incumbent could be on the way out.
As per those reports, Tanguy Ndombele is the first on the chopping block. The £53m signing from Lyon has been a disappointment in north London and was allowed to rejoin his former club on-loan last term. They did not elect to make the move permanent, with Spurs looking for other options.
His wages and the length of his current deal in north London make the prospect of any deal difficult. Ndombele could also follow midfield colleagues Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks out of the door.

The former spent last term with Villarreal with Spurs once again keen to move him on. Meanwhile, Winks has been linked with a switch to Everton.
It is a slightly different situation with Spanish defender Sergio Reguilon. His former club Sevilla are interested in signing him on-loan with an obligation to buy but they are relying on the sale of Chelsea and Barcelona target Jules Kounde before they can make a move.
Whilst that quartet are all free to leave, there are other players that could move on should a suitable offer be lodged for their services. Academy graduate Japhet Tanganga is being eyed by AC Milan but they do not want to pay the price that Spurs are currently asking for.
A number of other defenders could also be on their way out. Welsh centre-back Joe Rodon could leave despite having impressed Conte, whilst one of Emerson Royal or Matt Doherty could wave farewell following the arrival of Spence.
Finally, Spanish winger Bryan Gil might be set to leave once more. The former Sevilla star was loaned out to Valencia for the second-half of last season and the La Liga club are potentially plotting a reunion should they sell current forward Goncalo Guedes.
