Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has hit out at Mikel Arteta over his complaints about Arsenal's Premier League schedule. In action on Wednesday evening when they lost at home to Liverpool, the Gunners return to the pitch on Saturday lunchtime away at Aston Villa.
However, the quick turnaround has not gone down well with the Arsenal boss. Speaking after their defeat against the Reds in midweek, the Spaniard had plenty to say about their schedule at such a crucial time in the season.
"Thank you so much to the Premier League for doing that," he said after their 2-0 defeat. "And they’ve done it again when we have to play Chelsea and Manchester United. So if they want to give them any advantage, I say to them today: ‘Thank you so much for doing that’."
