Antonio Conte has received a significant boost to his preparations for Tottenham's return to Premier League action on Boxing Day with forward Son Heung-min set to return to training soon. Son had captained South Korea to the last-16 of the World Cup but they suffered a humbling exit at the hands of Brazil on Monday.
Tite's side hit four past South Korea in a rampant first-half performance which has further solidified the label placed on them as tournament favourites. Vinicius Jr opened the scoring after seven minutes with Neymar then marking his return from injury by doubling Brazil's lead just six minutes later, converting from the penalty spot.
Spurs star Richarlison then got his third of the tournament when he juggled the ball to himself before making a run beyond the South Korean defence and exquisitely finishing Thiago Silva's pass. Lucas Paqueta then added a fourth 10 minutes before the half-time whistle.

Paik Seung-ho pulled one back for South Korea 14 minutes from time with a superb long-range effort but it was only a consolation goal, with Son and South Korea crashing out of the tournament at the last-16 stage.
While he was unable to find the back of the net for his country at the World Cup he played a pivotal role in getting them out of the group stages when his 40-yard run and perfectly-weighted pass was finished by Wolves star Hwang Hee-chan
The 30-year-old will undoubtedly be upset by South Korea's elimination, but it will be a huge boost for Conte and Spurs who will see one of their key players return to Hotspur Way soon.
After playing the full 90 minutes for South Korea on Monday, Son also appears to be free of injury and will likely have at least two weeks to work on the training ground with Conte in what is undoubtedly a huge boost for those in north London.
