Antonio Conte had plenty on his mind after Tottenham Hotspur's 2-0 defeat at Manchester United on Wednesday evening.
That scoreline flattered Spurs who were indebted to save after save from goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris for keeping out wave after wave of United attacks on the Old Trafford pitch. It was a dismal performance from the Frenchman's team-mates though and after the game Conte had his say.
The Italian said that it was becoming a recurring trend that his players struggled in the high level matches against top opposition and it was something he would need to discuss with the club to resolve, hinting at further new additions in the January transfer window. Conte also explained why he did not make any substitutions until the final minutes of the game but pointing towards the youthful nature of many on his bench.
