Tottenham's FA Cup clash against Sheffield United on Wednesday evening gives Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini the perfect opportunity to rotate the starting XI. Following a busy schedule after the return of Champions League football, things are going to pick up slightly ahead of the first international break of 2023 with midweek FA Cup and European football on the cards for the Lilywhites.
Playing the return leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie against AC Milan in N17 next Wednesday, first up for Spurs in March is a tricky trip to Championship promotion contenders Sheffield United in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Falling at the same hurdle 12 months ago after a nightmare evening at Middlesbrough, Spurs will be intent on putting things right and taking a big step on the road to Wembley.
Having a number of options right across the pitch to choose from now, Conte and Stellini will likely make a few alterations here and there and bring some of those on the periphery of the first team into the starting XI. The game could also represent a golden opportunity to rest some players ahead of the Wolves and AC Milan fixtures, with Harry Kane possibly someone who could drop down to the bench.

So far we have seen very little of the ex-Everton man as a striker for Tottenham due to a couple of injuries restricting his playing time before and after the World Cup. However, the Sheffield United encounter represents a chance for Conte and Stellini to take a closer look at him in a new role, with Danjuma also in the same boat if selected.
Our Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest go into detail on that topic during the latest episode of their podcast Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham. The duo also delve deeper into last Sunday's 2-0 win over Chelsea, including the performances of Cristian Romero, Oliver Skipp, Eric Dier and Ben Davies.
