Tottenham boss Antonio Conte insists Richarlison was not trying to be disrespectful to Nottingham Forest after his late showboating in their 2-0 win at the City Ground.
The former Everton star pulled off a few tricks with the ball in the latter stages before getting clattered by an unimpressed Brennan Johnson, who consequently saw yellow for the challenge. After the game, Steve Cooper said such behaviour would not be acceptable at his club.
"I wouldn’t want my players to do that, what Richarlison did," said the Welshman. "But if that’s accepted at Spurs then that’s nothing to do with me. But it wouldn’t be accepted here, that’s for sure."
