Rangers are on the verge of landing their No.1 transfer target an agreement was reached in principle to sign Antonio Colak – according to multiple reports in Greece.
Gio van Bronckhorst is a major admirer of the 28-year-old who knows all about Ibrox after helping Malmo dump them out of Champions League qualifying last season. And now Colak is set to experience life as a Rangers player now and is set to put the finishing touches on his switch to Glasgow. PAOK have been eyeing £2.5m for the forward and it's understood all parties are close to agreeing terms. The Croatia international has led a nomadic existence in recent years but was a smash hit during his season-long loan stay with Malmo last season.
PAOK have been keen to cash in on that success, and van Bronckhorst views Colak as the perfect option to strengthen his attacking options. Cedric Itten returned to his homeland and talisman Alfredo Morelos faces an uncertain future with only 12 months remaining on his current deal at Ibrox.
Rangers have already secured the capture of John Souttar as a free agent but Joe Aribo appears to be closing in on a switch to Southampton, a move which could see the Light Blues land around £10m for one of their key men.
The Ibrox side are currently in Portugal for a warm weather training camp ahead of the new season.
