ANTONIO COLAK says Rangers fans "always" have the right to voice their opinion after boos in the aftermath of the win over Dundee.
Supporters were left dismayed as Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side failed to impress in a narrow Premier Sports Cup win over the Championship side.
And Colak has accepted the fan reaction as he insisted the players are desperate to impress supporters while achieving results on the pitch.
He said: "Of course, the fans have the right to show their opinions. I understand them.
"I am a really positive guy so I want positive vibes and positive energy. I know what our fans can give us with the power of their energy, this is rare nowadays in football but this is what we want.
"We just want to give the energy on the pitch and we know then what energy they will give us.
"It's always the common thing altogether to show what Rangers is and I think we are having good results right now and we have to win - this is the most important thing.
"Sometimes you win better, with a better size sometimes not but most important thing is the three points, this is what counts at the end. We always want to have them at our back and to impress."
Scott Wright had said after the Premier Sports Cup win over Dundee: "Absolutely, I completely understand where the fans are coming from. The standards we set as a team, not just the fans.
“They obviously set a standard for us but we set standards within the club ourselves and we know we haven't really been hitting them as of yet.
"But the most important thing is we know we can give more."
And Colak is also relaxed about the introduction of VAR in Scotland this weekend as he cited previous experience with the technology in use in European competition.
He said: "I don't think too much about it (VAR), I have experience playing with it. I just try to focus on my game.
"We knew it (VAR) would happen during the season. It's nothing new to us and everyone knows what to expect.
We know the flag will stay down (with VAR) and we have to keep playing until the referee stops the match."
