Where Antonio Brown goes, trouble follows.
The former NFL star has upset players and coaching staff of his Albany Empire.
Brown reportedly had the paychecks for players and coaches pulled from their bank accounts after they had been deposited.
“Frustration, anger, disbelief, shock, you name it,” interim coach Moe Leggett told NEWS10. “It’s a very unfortunate situation that we’re being put in. We just want to put it behind us. Just pay what the guys are owed and we’ll just move on. No hard feelings. But you’re playing with people’s livelihoods.”
Leggett also says multiple players and his offensive coordinator were not yet signed up through the Paychex system, and they have not been paid at all. Leggett says he has been reaching out to Empire owner Antonio Brown and his accountant, Alex Gunaris, all week but has been unable to reach them.
The team had already been kicked out of the league due to ownership hijinks.
