Anton Du Beke makes plea to BBC Strictly 'mole' over result leaks

Anton Du Beke has hit out at the Strictly Come Dancing "mole" and urged them to " please stop" spoiling the show results before they are broadcast. The judge insisted "people don't want to know" as he spoke to Loose Women on Tuesday, October 18.

This year, the likes of Helen Skelton, Will Mellor, Fleur Easer, Hamza Yassin and Tyler West have been dazzling on the dance floor, but each week the celebrity exit is leaked early prior to the results show being aired on Sunday night. As many people know, the results show is actually filmed straight after the main programme on Saturday night, but isn't shown on screens until Sunday evening.

On Tuesday's instalment of Loose Women, Anton was asked by Ruth Langsford about the alleged spoilers, which reveal which celebrity and professional dancer has been booted off the show prior to it being broadcast.

She said: "There's been a lot in the papers this week about the Strictly mole, a lot of people are very angry. The result of who has gone out is being leaked."

'It gets on my nerves, please stop' (ITV)

Before Ruth had a chance to finish, Anton said: "It gets on my nerves. Please stop. I don't know who you are but please stop. Don't do it. Why would you do it?"

"Would that be the audience that are there watching the show?" panelllist Linda Robson then asked.

"I don't know, nobody knows who it is," Anton responded. "The audience, like the people who go to The Mousetrap [Agatha Christie murder mystery play] for example, which has been going for years, we're all in it together. Knowledge is power and all that sort of stuff, everyone has an agreement we won't say anything, so I don't know who does it."

He continued: "They call you a spoiler for a reason - because you're a spoiler. Don't do it… Try to stop spoiling it please, because people don't want to know."

Loose Women continues weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
