Anthony Martial starts as Casemiro returns in Manchester United predicted line-up vs Sevilla

Anthony Martial could be in line for a first start since January when Manchester United host Sevilla in their Europa League quarter-final first leg on Thursday evening.

United welcome Spanish opposition to Old Trafford for a fourth time this season, having faced Real Sociedad in the group stages before knockout ties against Barcelona and Real Betis. Jose Luis Mendilibar's Sevilla currently sit 13th in La Liga and are enduring their worst campaign since promotion to the top flight in 2001.

But with six Europa League triumphs since 2005, Sevilla carry bags of continental experience and progressed past PSV Eindhoven and Fenerbahce in the previous rounds. United confirmed on Wednesday morning that they will be without top goalscorer Marcus Rashford after he pulled up with a groin injury against Everton on Saturday.

That could hand Martial a chance to start for the first time since the 2-1 win over Manchester City three months ago - a game in which he only lasted 45 minutes. The France international has had a torrid time with injuries, but has come off the bench in United's last three matches, scoring the second in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Toffees.

He is yet to feature four times in the same month all season but could do so on Thursday, with Ten Hag confirming the striker is fit enough to start. Either side of him, Antony and Jadon Sancho look to have nailed down the right and left wing spots respectively and will be expected to carry some of the goalscoring burden left by Rashford.

United could welcome back more fresh legs in midfield, with Casemiro returning as the defensive anchor. The Brazilian has now served his four-game domestic suspension after being sent off against Southampton, but was eligible for European competition anyway and started in the last-16 second-leg against Real Betis.

Christian Eriksen will also be in contention to start for a first time since January, the Dane returning to action on Saturday after a long spell out with an ankle injury. Bruno Fernandes has been ever-present across the midfield this season, the Portuguese midfielder expected to enjoy a more advanced role after dictating play from deep in Casemiro's absence.

At the back, Ten Hag's decision will likely come at right-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka played the full 90 minutes against Everton on Saturday, which could mean Diogo Dalot comes in for rotation given the busy schedule. Alongside the Portuguese international, Raphael Varane will almost certainly play alongside Lisandro Martinez, while news of Luke Shaw's absence means Tyrell Malacia will continue at left back, with David De Gea between the posts.
