Anthony Martial has joked that Bruno Fernandes broke a promise during Manchester United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.
United have enjoyed a relatively successful tour. Only a late Aston Villa equaliser prevented the Reds from sealing four wins in four games.
On the flight out to Thailand, Martial had asked Fernandes to provide him with plenty of assists, to which the Portuguese midfielder replied: "I will, for sure man, you know that we have that connection." The Frenchman looked like a completely new signing on the tour, putting last season's woes behind him by scoring three goals in three games for Erik ten Hag's side.
