Manchester United's Anthony Martial has admitted 'you never know' in football when asked about his future plans.
Martial joined Sevilla on loan until the end of the season and it was understood the Spanish club would cover all of his wages.
United didn't receive a loan fee for Martial and there is no option to make the move permanent at the end of the season. The 26-year-old only started four games for United this term and a loan move to Sevilla promised more minutes on the pitch.
Martial made his Sevilla debut against Osasuna at the weekend as his fresh start in La Liga officially began.
The Frenchman has been asked about his loan switch to Sevilla this week by the Spanish media and he's now discussed the move.
Martial has revealed he took a pay cut to join Sevilla while he also opened up on his future plans following the loan.
“I have less salary, but I also know that paying my salary is an effort for the club," Martial told Diario de Sevilla
"So we’ve both made an effort, but I know this effort will be good for both parties.”
"At the moment, we are only here for four months. I have a contract with Manchester United (until 2024), but as I said before, in football, you never know.”
