Anthony Kim was a top ten golfer in the world, with three PGA Tour wins under his belt and was a member of the victorious United States Ryder Cup team in 2008, but after being dogged by injuries he stunned the golfing world by quitting pro golf in 2012 and disappearing from public life completely.
During a 12 year absence from the game, Kim became almost a mythical creature, fondly reminisced about by those who remembered the swagger and oversized belt buckles that made him one of the coolest figures in the game. Occasionally rumours would surface of a potential return, until in 2024 it finally happened when LIV Golf lured him out of retirement.
Now entering his second year on the LIV tour, let’s take a look at the clubs he is using as he attempts to recapture the old magic.
Driver
What Driver Does Anthony Kim Use?
Kim used a full bag of Titleist clubs for his big comeback but it wasn’t long before he started to make some changes, Initially his driver of choice was a Titleist TSR3 driver in 9 degrees of loft, but he soon switched to a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver which he used for the remainder of the year.
For 2025 he has continued with Callaway but upgraded to the new Elyte Triple Diamond driver which we found to be an exceptional performer in testing and is without question one of the best drivers on the market in 2025.
Kim's driver is fitted with a Fujikura Ventus Black 6-X shaft which he is playing at 45 inches. The Ventus Black is one of the most tip stable shafts in the game, designed to promote low launch and spin with maximum stability.
Fairway Wood
What Fairway Wood Does Anthony Kim Use?
A similar story to driver here. Kim was initially playing the TSR2+ model from Titleist at a fairly strong loft of 13˚ but soon moved into a Callaway Ai Smoke Triple Diamond fairway wood. And again, for 2025 he has gone with Callaway’s new offering, the Elyte fairway wood which is designed for penetrating ball flights and is particularly effective off a tee. Kim is playing a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 7 X shaft at 43 inches in his 3 wood.
Utility Iron
What Utility Iron Does Anthony Kim Use?
As he generally did back in his early career on the PGA Tour, Kim has opted to bridge the gap between his 3 wood and irons with a 2 iron. He is using the Srixon ZX MkII Utility, once again with a Fujikura Ventus Black HB 10-TX Shaft. This is a very low launching shaft and head combination, so we can surely expect some delicious stingers!
Irons
What Irons does Anthony Kim Use?
Anthony Kim was a big blade fan historically, so it is no surprise to see him in the Titleist 620 MBs from 5 iron to pitching wedge. These are about as classic a blade look as you can get, with minimal offset and a seriously thin top line. He has however allowed himself some assistance in his 4 iron, opting for the Titleist T200 for a touch more launch and forgiveness presumably, and this is set at 23˚.
He is playing all of his irons with True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 shafts.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Anthony Kim Use?
As with many of the game’s leading players, Kim has put his trust in Bob Vokey when it comes to his short game and he has opted for Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges at the bottom of the bag. His set up consists of a 50-12F, a 54-12D and also a 58 degree Vokey SM10 WedgeWorks prototype. He has the same True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 shafts in the wedges as he does his irons.
Putter
What Putter Does Anthony Kim Use?
Kim is using a Circle T (Tour Only) Scotty Cameron Tourtype Buttonback Prototype putter. It is in the familiar Newport 2 shape that he generally used in his early professional career. Ball
What Ball Does Anthony Kim Use?
Finally, Kim is using the new 2025 Titleist Pro V1 golf ball, which is the gold standard of premium golf balls, providing a strong, consistent ball flight and consistency throughout the golf bag. As such it is easily one of the best golf balls money can buy.
