After a rocky start to his LIV Golf League career and return to competitive golf, Anthony Kim found some form on Sunday during the final round at the Hong Kong Golf Club, shooting a 5-under-par 65 to finish in a tie for 50th in his second event.
After finishing last a week ago in Jeddah—where he was 11 shots behind his next closest competitor—this was a significant improvement as he got into the 60s for the first time.

So far, there’s been little to no information that has been reported on what Kim was up to for the past decade, but it’s clear that while he still has skills, he’s incredibly rusty and might not have been working at this for very long.

“I’m very proud,” he said after his round in Hong Kong, where Abraham Ancer won a sudden-death playoff over Cam Smith and Paul Casey. “Coming from where I came from over the last 10, 12 years I am just grateful for this opportunity. Every step I walk I feel blessed no matter what I shoot, I feel like I have won.
“I never thought those words would come out of my mouth but I am trying to play the game with a lot of gratitude and live my life the same way.”
Kim is keeping at it this week. He was given a sponsor’s exemption into the LIV Golf-backed International Series event in Macau, China. The event is part of the Asian Tour and has attracted some 20 LIV Golf players, including Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia and Pat Perez. The $2 million is 72 holes with a 36-hole cut.
