After Oleksandr Usyk beat Anthony Joshua via a unanimous decision back in September 2021, talk quickly turned to a rematch between the pair. The venue and date has now been announced, with the fight set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on August 20.
The duo face off in a press conference on Tuesday, although if you are expecting sparks to fly you may be disappointed with relations between the pair seemingly good after the first fight. Usyk praised his opponent after the first fight, saying that criticism of Joshua was 'unfair'.
Since then, the now heavyweight champion has joined the effort in his home country of Ukraine following the Russian invasion. This is the reason for the fight's delay, with the rematch originally scheduled for spring.

Saudi Arabia has hosted Joshua before and it is a good omen for the Brit, 32, as he won his rematch with Andy Ruiz in the gulf state back in 2019 to regain his heavyweight titled before losing them to Usyk nearly two years later.
The venue of the fight has also come under scrutiny, with accusations of 'sportswashing' due to the choice of host nation for the fight after criticism of the country's human right record. This means that both fighters are likely to face questions on this issue at this afternoon's press conference.
