Anthony Joshua must use his height, weight and reach advantages over Oleksandr Usyk if he is to become a three-time champion later this year.
That's according to renowned coach Eddy Reynoso, with whom Joshua briefly worked in the aftermath of losing his belts back in September.
The famed trainer is behind the success of Canelo Alvarez, and has also been training Joshua's former rival Andy Ruiz Jr over the past few years since he lost his belts to the Brit in 2019.
Joshua is still on the lookout for a new trainer ahead of the rematch, which is slated to take place in May after Tyson Fury faces Dillian Whyte in April.
And Reynoso is one of the people with whom he has met, detailing to Fight Hub TV what he believes Joshua needs to work on to beat Usyk.
“I think work his distance more, better combinations,” Reynoso said, according to subtitles on Fight Hub TV's video.
“He has a lot of good traits, a lot of good physical traits, but doesn’t take advantage of them."
Reynoso and Alvarez met with Joshua in America when the two-time world champion stopped by their California gym to watch a sparring session.
And despite working closely with Ruiz, who is hoping to forge a path to a trilogy bout against Joshua with a return to action this year, Reynoso believes something could be worked out.
“I’m a boxing trainer and willing to work with anyone, him included,” Reynoso cotninued. “Whoever, it’s just a thing of when the fights will be happening, and are we ready.
“Yeah, I spoke to Joshua and [his promoter Eddie] Hearn to see what can be done and we will see what’s next.
“No, there’s no conflict having Joshua there with Andy, they don't both have fights, so there’s the opportunity to work with both of them.
"No, there’s no conflict, not at all - Andy has other fights coming and so does Joshua."
Joshua stunningly suffered his first professional loss to Ruiz Jr in June of 2019 at Madison Square Garden in one of boxing's great modern upsets.
But the fame and newfound riches that came with being champion proved too much for Ruiz, who ballooned in weight to 283lb for their rematch in December of 2019 and immediately lost the belts back.
Joshua will face a much tougher task when he squares off with Usyk later this year after a very different loss when they first fought in September 2021.

The Brit was thoroughly outboxed at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium by Usyk, who became just the third fighter in history to become heavyweight champion after winning the title at cruiserweight.
The Ukrainian has seemingly managed to stay grounded despite his monumental success, and is a strong favourite for the second fight, which is different to Ruiz who was still an underdog in December 2019.
Joshua is expected to confirm his new coaching set-up soon, with it a near certainty that he will split from long-time coach Rob McCracken.
