Anthony Hutton made a demand for Big Brother bosses to "make the show diverse," as it was confirmed ITV are bringing it back four years after it ended.
Big Brother first made its debut back in 2000, with viewers tuning in out of curiosity more than anything as they had no idea what to expect from the new Channel 4 series, which was billed as 'a social experiment.' The first series gave us Nasty Nick and the bombshell moment his lies were exposed.
Consett hairdresser Anthony won series six in 2005 and went onto become a household name, even releasing his own fitness DVD in the aftermath of hid famous TV win. Now 40, Anthony runs Mr Hutton's Barbers and Bar in Darlington and appeared on This Morning, 12 hours after ITV confirmed Big Brother is returning.

The announcement was made, rather cleverly during the Love Island final, and sparked a massive reaction from viewers. And many of them,. like Anthony want ITV to take the show 'back to basics,' after later series on Channel 5, where it ended in 2018, were panned for having too many already established reality TV stars and influencers.
Anthony joined fellow Big Brother winners Kate Lawler and Chantelle Houghton on This Morning and told hosts Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes that he wanted ITV to 'keep it real." He commented: "IT's such a nostalgic show, you know what I mean? I think if it's done right....I want them to make it diverse, like characters and yeah I was over the moon it's coming back."
Picking up on what Anthony said and agreeing with him, one fan took to Twitter to post: "When they bring #BigBrother back next year, they best keep it real, no scripting, no influencers. Like Anthony has just said on This Morning, we want Frank from Wigan."
