Hollywood icon Anthony Hopkins has been spotted filming in Ireland for his upcoming movie that explores Northern Irish author C.S Lewis meeting Austrian neurologist Sigmund Freud.
'Freud’s Last Session' is based on the stage play of the same name by Mark St. Germain and tells of a meeting between Lewis and Freud and the debate on God that follows and discussions of the nature of their relationships with other people.
English actor Matthew Goode, who portrays C.S Lewis in the movie, has also been spotted filming the final scenes of the psychological thriller, the Daily Star reports.

Interweaving past, present and fantasy, the film will delve into the unique relationship Freud had with his daughter Anna (played by Liv Lisa Fries) and The Chronicles of Narnia author’s relationship with his best friend’s mother.
In the exclusive shots, the actors could be seen walking into a church carrying gas masks in their hands accompanied by approximately 30 extras.
While taking a break from filming, the 85-year-old star spotted paparazzi while they were capturing the performance and tipped his hat to the photographer.
The dad-of-one could be seen wearing the Austrian neurologist’s signature black rimmed circular glasses and a long green tweed coat which featured a large collar and buttons down the front.
The Downton Abbey star could be seen looking as smart as ever as he rocked a navy-blue suit which he paired with a white button-down shirt and a burgundy tie.
