Anthony Gordon sends Son Heung-Min message as Antonio Conte plots £86m Tottenham transfer raid

Anthony Gordon has shown his admiration for Son Heung-Min amid Antonio Conte's mission to raid Everton this summer. Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for Richarlison and his Everton teammate has also emerged as a target.

Spurs are looking at the potential of bringing Gordon to north London, football.london understands. It's said that Fabio Paratici would like to bring the Toffees duo to north London in a deal which could cost as much as £86.2million, according to CIES Football Observatory.

football.london understand that Tottenham are eager to bolster their homegrown numbers, with Dele Alli having left for Goodison Park last season, while Cameron Carter-Vickers has joined Celtic on a permanent deal having played a major part in helping secure the scottish Premiership title while on a season-long loan there last term. With Spurs keen to reinforce their homegrown candidates ahead of the Champions League this season, Gordon has emerged as a target. And, the 21-year-old has already sent Son a message ahead of a proposed move.

On May 12, Son posted a message on Instagram following Tottenham's 3-0 north London derby victory over Arsenal. He wrote: "Let’s goooo!! What an atmosphere tonight. We won’t stop fighting until the last kick of the season!!"

To which Gordon commented a goat emoji, which stands for GOAT - an an acronym meaning the 'greatest of all time'. It's become a common term used by on social media to reference a highly skilled individual in order to hail somebody as being the all-time best in their chosen field.

With Gordon seemingly already a big fan of Son, a major piece in Spurs' puzzle, Tottenham have been handed a major boost in completing a deal for the winger, while Everton have financial fair play issues to contend with.

The Toffees are expected to offload several players in a bid to strengthen Lampard's squad for next season, with takeover talk also surrounding the club.
