Anthony Elanga has explained that Marcus Rashford and the departed Jesse Lingard both helped him to settle at Manchester United.
Elanga began his career in his home country of Sweden at Elfsborg before moving to Malmo. However, in 2015 the youngster moved to United where he came up through the ranks similarly to the two boyhood Reds.
The 20-year-old said that both men helped him progress from academy football to the first team. "Yeah, he [Marcus] is my guy," Elanga told United's official website.

"I like to chill with him, he’s a really nice person off the pitch as well. He’s funny and he helps me a lot.
"When I first came into the academy, him and Jesse [Lingard] helped me, because they’ve been where I’ve been and they’ve worked their way up, so it’s a pleasure to have [Rashford] giving me advice and speaking to me."
Elanga was on the pitch to witness Rashford's bullet header from a Christian Eriksen cross to secure the three points on Sunday. Of course, the winner held special significance for Rashford with it being his 100th goal for the club moving him to joint 20th in the all-time record goalscorers list for United.
"It was a pleasure to share the same pitch with him when he did it," the Swede added. "I was so over the moon for him and the fact he did it the day before his birthday as well, makes it even more special.
"It just shows that if you put in the hard work, you’re capable of reaching the numbers and he’s been playing with the first team for a long, long time. I’m happy for him and hopefully he can reach even higher numbers and I can be a part of what he does."
