When it comes to the playoffs, most teams would rather avoid the Golden State Warriors. After all, Golden State has the talent and experience to be a major threat to any team in the league. Nevertheless, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards appears to have his eyes set on Golden State next season.
During a recent interview with Heir, Edwards noted how he would like to face Golden State in the 2024 playoffs. When questioned on why he has the Warriors in his sights, Edwards noted how it’s because veteran forward Draymond Green talks ‘so much trash.’
“Definitely going back to the playoffs and going further in the playoffs,” Edwards said. “I wanna play the Warriors. I wanna get to the Warriors, wherever they at, I wanna get to them…Because Draymond [Green] talks so much trash, that’s the only reason.”

Golden State struggled to defend their status as the 2022 NBA Champions, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the playoffs last season. However, after adding Chris Paul, Cory Joseph, Dario Saric, Brandin Podziemski, and Trayce Jackson-Davis to their rotation, they could be primed for another run at a championship banner in the upcoming season.
If the Warriors can find their groove early and sustain their usual high level of play, Edwards could find himself regretting asking for a potential matchup with Golden State.
