Anthony Davis will be a reserve in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game

Although he sat out Thursday’s game against the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis is in the middle of another outstanding season.

He’s averaging 24.9 points, 12.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.3 blocked shots and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 55.4% from the field and 80.5% from the free-throw line. Although he put up similar numbers last season, some believe he is having his best season, especially since he has missed just four of L.A.’s 50 games thus far.

While he wasn’t voted to be a starter in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game, he was chosen to be a reserve for the Western Conference.

This is Davis’ ninth All-Star nod in his 12 pro seasons, and his first in three years. He won the MVP of the 2017 All-Star game, which was played in New Orleans, when he was a member of the New Orleans Pelicans.
