Just when things were going extremely well for Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis, he suffered an apparent foot injury on Friday versus the Denver Nuggets.
As a result, he didn’t play in the second half, yet even without him, the Lakers blew away the Nuggets, 126-108.
Davis had been averaging 32.4 points on 64.1 percent shooting, 14.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots in his previous 13 games.
Not surprisingly, he will not play on Sunday evening when L.A. hosts the Washington Wizards.
Internally, the Lakers reportedly have some hope his injury isn’t serious, but he was expected to undergo an MRI to reveal the full extent of the ailment.

Although backup center Thomas Bryant played brilliantly in Davis’ absence, the Lakers will be in lots of trouble if Davis has to miss more than a couple of games.
