Father Dermott Donnelly, the brother of Declan Donnelly, was laid to rest at his funeral on Friday (July 29). Loved ones were there in support of Britain's Got Talent star Dec, who was extremely close to his Catholic priest brother.
Father Dermott died at the age of 55 following serious illness. Dec was supported by wife Ali and his family. The funeral took place inside St Mary’s Cathedral in Dec's hometown of Newcastle.
The Mirror Online reports how Dec wore a black suit, waist coat and tie along with a white shirt as he gathered outside the cathedral in Newcastle alongside loved ones. A Requiem Mass, which was live-streamed on YouTube, was held for popular priest Father Dermott at the cathedral at 12pm.
