Fans of Ant and Dec will no doubt rejoice over the news that their long-running weekend variety show Saturday Night Takeaway is coming back to screens very soon indeed.
The show will see 46-year-olds Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly back on screens just two months after the conclusion of the latest series of the equally long-running reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
ITV have confirmed that Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway will return live to ITV1 and the ITV Hub on Saturday 19th February.
Describing the show as “the happiest ninety minutes of the week,” ITV also confirmed that new episodes will kick off each week at 7pm.
In a very detailed statement of the returning show, ITV have outlined exactly what viewers can expect when the show returns later this month.
They chirp: “A live studio audience will return, as TV’s most popular duo host new and exclusive features, live surprises, celebrity guests and outrageous stunts along with all of the Saturday Night Takeaway favourites that viewers know and love.
“Undercover and I’m A Celebrity…Get Out Of Me Ear will both return for the new series with some of the biggest celebrities taking part. Last year’s highlights included Cat Deeley having a very bad day in an hilarious Undercover and the Redknapp’s and Mo Farah both taking part in Get Out Of Me Ear.
“Some of the celebrities taking part in Undercover and Get Out Of Me Ear for the new series include Jeremy Clarkson and Oti Mabuse.”
The excitable update continues: “Ant & Dec will have more fantastic Takeaway Getaways to giveaway than ever before to the studio audience and viewers at home.
“We have a brand new mini-series for 2022 called Polter Guys in which Ant & Dec become ghost busters. The new adventure will include many celebrity cameos including Rob Delaney, Jo Brand, Kadeena Cox, Tom Allen, Fred Siriex and Roman Kemp.”
But that’s not all – there’s even more with extra hosts crowbarring their way into the show to ensure viewers have a real feast for the eyes and other senses.
The statement reveals: “Stephen Mulhern, Fleur East and Andi Peters all return with Stephen putting the boys through brand new high octane Ant vs Dec challenges.
“Viewer favourites On Air Dares and Singalong Live are both back along with a brand new studio game with kids called Kiddi-eoke.
“There are some brilliant End of the Show Show’s planned throughout the series, featuring amongst others, Michael Buble and George Ezra.”
Concluding, the statement goes on to declare: “With a live studio audience and the return of Win the Ads expect high energy live entertainment from start to finish as Saturday night’s most feel good series returns to kick start the weekend with a bang.”
