Ant and Dec suffer I'm A Celebrity 'blast from the past' moments into show

Ant and Dec joked they had a bout of PTSD in the opening moments of Sunday's I'm A Celebrity as they had an ';unwanted' blast from the past.'

Sunday's show marked a week since the ITV show made its return to screens and its return to Australia, with the Geordie duo at the helm once again as a line-up including Boy George, Charlene White, Jill Scott and Chris Moyles headed into the jungle. The first week of I'm A Celebrity's new run proved to be unmissable TV, with the shock exit of Olivia Attwood giving it an early talking point, before Matt Hancock hit headlines again thanks to his late entrance.

Sunday's episode saw the disgraced former Health Secretary in trial action again, as the public chose him to take on House of Horrors and before he did, Ant and Dec were taken back to the 90sd with a burst of their most famous hit Let's Get Ready to Rhumble. The 1994 single, which then went to number one nearly 20 years later, was given an airing as Ant and Dec reflected on the first week of I'm A Celebrity 2022.

Looking down the lens from the show's set Down Under, Dec commented: "Over the last seven days, the celebrities have all really opened up. Boy George has talked about his life in the showbiz fast lane; Sean has spoken about a difficult three years in the spotlight and, after a week without much food, Owen's stomach has said..." before the intro to Let's Get Ready to Rhumble blasted out around the hosts and to millions of people watching at home.

Grimacing, Ant waved his hands in the air and shouted: "No thanks...PTSD" as the crew behind the camera started laughing..

Ant and Dec risked offending a whole city later on in Sunday's show, when they talked about Sunderland born England Lionesses hero Jill Scott. After a clip which saw Jill open up about some of the bullying she suffered as a young player, the camera cut back to Ant and Dec, with Dec reacting: "I love Jill. Isn't she lovely? Especially for someone from Sunderland!"
