Ant and Dec's drag transformation for Saturday Night Takeaway moves mum of bullied child to tears

A Saturday Night Takeaway viewer was moved to tears by Ant and Dec's epic drag transformation at the weekend, praising the hosts for the empowering message to their performance.

Millions of fans were left in shock when the much loved presenters graced the stage to join Drag Race UK winners The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney and Krystal Versace looking fierce and fabulous in the new glamorous guises of Lady Antoinette and Miss Donna Lee.

Ant and Dec joined the Drag Race stars to lip sync to charity single We Werk Together, which is raising money for the Trussell Trust and quickly raced to the top end of the iTunes chart.

Their makeover became the number 1 talking point on Twitter as the episode ended and one woman - with the Twitter handle @mummabear0803- filmed her tearful reaction, saying how much it meant to people like her son who'd been bullied 'for being different.'

She began: "Saturday Night Takeaway has just finished. I just want to say a huge thank you. What you've done tonight has been amazing.

"It's going to be so influential that you dressed up in drag. My son has Tourette's and he's got anxiety. He likes to be different. He likely to walk nicely, he likes to wear makeup."

She continued: "He's 12-years-old; he's been bullied all his life and, what you've done tonight is just amazing. It's gonna show everybody around the world it's OK just to be who you wanna been and everyone's got freedom, everybody's got a right, everyone deserves respect and kindness.

"All those kids who will go to school on Monday and think twice before they bully someone else because of what you've done tonight. It's really, truly amazing and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart."

One of Ant and Dec's many followers, replied: "He’s one lucky boy, thank you for supporting him like you do. Sending love to your wonderful family," with a second responding: "That's such a powerful speech.

"My son is also very into drag, he's living in East London and living the dream. I live in Northern Ireland and don't get to see him as often as I would like to, and I wish your boy gets to live his dreams aswell. Great inspiration from Ant and Dec."
