Limitless Win viewers have been left "gutted", after an announcement by the ITV show's hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.
Ant and Dec's new gameshow launched last month, and fans can't get enough of the tense format that sees pairs of contestants answering questions, in a bid to climb a never-ending money ladder.
It only takes one decision to either boost a pair's jackpot, or send them home with nothing, while the rules have been pretty confusing to many viewers.
That said, fans have been loving the series and expected it to run for much longer.
However, hosts Ant and Dec dropped a bombshell this week on Twitter, confirming the show was coming to an end very soon.
Responding to a fan who praised the latest dramatic episode of the ITV series, Dec said: "Thank you. Can’t believe it’s the last one next week! D."
The post from the weekend confirmed this coming Saturday will air the last episode of the current series, while a second series has yet to be confirmed by them or ITV.
The news that the final episode will air on Saturday 5 February left many fans stunned and not happy about it, with the hosts receiving a flurry of messages.
Taking to Twitter and responding to Dec's announcement, one fan commented: "Such an amazing show! Absolutely gutted it’s the last show next week. Are there any plans for a second series?"
Another agreed: "Gutted, loving the show. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a second series."
A third added: "don‘t want it to end," as a fourth said: "Nooo it can't be the last one already??"
The comments kept coming too, with another tweet reading: "Didn't know next week is the last episode, I thought the series would run for 6-8 episodes. Hoping for more Limitless later in the year."
A sixth fan wrote: "Last one next week????? Are you joking???!!!! Awwwwww!!!!! Me and my wife are loving limitless win. Doesn’t feel like its been on long. Hope you guys do it again."
Others predicted it might mean the boys' hit series Saturday Night Takeaway will be back soon, while fans will also see the boys back on Britain's Got Talent when that airs later this year.
Limitless Win concludes Saturday on ITV at 8:30pm.
