Ant and Dec have reassured fans that they will both return to presenting Britain’s Got Talent tonight after Ant McPartlin took a tumble during last night’s semi-finals. The present slipped and fell as he ran onto the stage after his co-star Declan Donnelly.
It was just after they had introduced judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell, along with guest star Diversity. Ant poked fun at himself at the time and said “I don’t know whether I am okay. I think I wet myself and farted at the same time.” Dec added: “I can confirm that he did fart.”
Now the duo have updated fans on how Ant is doing after his fall. Dec shared a video on their Twitter page, saying the semi-finals got “off to a flying start”.

Addressing the camera, Dec said: “Well did you see that fall? What was it? ‘I nearly wet myself and farted at the same time?!’ Let’s see how he is. How are you Ant?”
Ant jokingly responded: “I can hear you! Shut up! Shut up I’m resting! I’m resting my back!”
When Dec him asked how he was, he said his back was “a bit sore” after Dec asked how he was. He added: “It was alright. I think the adrenaline gets you through it and then now it’s a bit like ooh I need a bit of ice on that.”
The pair joked that Dec had already remarked that the stage seemed a bit slippery. Dec said: “Then I looked over…wow! Legs in the air. Legs akimbo!”
Both Ant and Dec are expected to present Britain’s Got Talent when it continues on Tuesday evening.
