I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly risked fury from viewers on Thursday, as they defended an "unfair" trial - and called Owen Warner an "idiot".
Hollyoaks star Owen was left deflated when he and Chris Moyles only got one star in the latest trial.
But viewers were quick to support the pair, and called out the "ridiculous" trial - saying it was "impossible" to complete.
As they arrived at the Bushtucker Trial clearing Ant explained: "This is The Savage Sorting Office. You two need to put a shift in and sort through the mail to find the stars.
"One of you will be suspended from the crane in this harness and need to rummage around through the post and find the stars. When you find a star you need to get it in the giant postbox there to win it.
"The other celebrity will be operating the crane, but they will be blindfolded and they will receive electric shocks every 30 seconds. There are six stars to find."
Dec added: "You’ve got 90 seconds per postal cart. If the star’s not in the postal box in that time then you lose that star. This is a Bushtucker Trial so there will be some surprises along the way."
But Owen struggled to get the star into the postbox area and blamed himself, clearly deflated.
Viewers claimed the trial was too difficult though, only for hosts Ant and Dec to deny this - defending the challenge.
Dec said: "Was it too hard do you think, Ant?"
Ant replied: "No Dec, I don't think it was too hard. He should of went underarm earlier. Poor Owen threw a bit of a tantrum."
Dec then joked that Owen's tantrum bounced off of the postbox and landed on the floor like the stars.
Ant then took aim at Owen, joking: "Because he should have gone underarm... idiot."
Viewers watching at home were not impressed by the comments though, taking to Twitter to call out Ant.
One viewer said: "Ant calling @_OwenWarner an idiot and joking about him throwing a tantrum, you’re the idiot Ant.. i’d love to see you do better. I love Ant and Dec but they took that too far. You laughed in Owen’s face. That trial was ridiculous."
Another commented: "Didn't like Ant calling Owen an idiot? Not nice."
It followed the initial complaints about the trial, with one writing on Twitter : "Poor Owen.. that trail was so unfair."
Another agreed: "This trial isn't fair. Owen shouldn't have to basically play a skill game after getting the stars and blindfolding Chris serves no purpose whatsoever."
A third fan said: "The most ridiculous trial ever, stupidly hard," as a fourth tweeted: "sorry but that trial was ridiculous."
Another viewer commented: "This seems quite unfair. They're doing the work and getting the stars but can't keep them as the distance to throw into the postbox is too long."
