Ant and Dec confirm Michael Buble for Saturday Night Takeaway as fans delighted at show's return

Ant and Dec have pulled out all the stops to wow viewers as Saturday Night Takeaway returns from a week's break with a megastar guest joining them in the studio.

There was anger amongst fans of the long-running show last weekend when ITV cancelled it to make way for live coverage of the Six Nations rugby clash between England and France. The game took over the channel for more than three hours, meaning the axe also fell on the latest episode of Starstruck.

Ant and Dec didn't seem at all bitter about the decision, even taking to Twitter to tell followers they were watching the rugby and are ready to get cracking on a brand new episode of Saturday Night Takeaway tomorrow night. And the lads have let the cat out of the bag on who will be joining them - Canadian megastar Michael Buble.

The Haven't Met You Yet singer will team up with Ant and Dec live in the studio to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Drag Race UK stars and Sam Fender by becoming the latest act to perform in the End of the Show Show.

Referencing the fact that Michael would be gracing the stage on Mother's Day weekend, takeaway's Twitter account posted: "Steady on mums! It's only a picture. Having @MichaelBuble as our 'End of the Show Show' performer is 'Everything." Ant and Dec shared the tweet and added: "Hip hip Bublé. We're back Saturday!"

As you'd probably expect, the announcement sparked great excitement amongst ITV viewers and Buble fans alike. One reacted: "Cannot possibly do anything now this week, @MichaelBuble makes me feel all rather necessary."

Another excited fan replied: "My 3 favourite men together, happy Mother’s Day to me. Thank you," with a third joking: "But, it’s only March? We aren’t anywhere near Christmas yet?"
