Ant and Dec have responded to the “weird” I’m a Celebrity live final as the hosts explained their rare public intervention in the ongoing campmate drama.
The live episode, which took place seven months after the main reality competition was filmed, descended into chaos when Jimmy Bullard accused Adam Thomas of being “abusive” and “intimidating”.
When Bullard asked the duo if Thomas had been intimidating during their argument, the normally impartial Ant McPartlin stunned viewers by telling him: “I didn’t think it was intimidating. I was there. I was there, Jim.”
Commenting on the explosive night, McPartlin said he decided to intervene “quite firmly” as he found the whole interaction between Bullard and Thomas “very weird”.
