Ant and Dec belt out Seventeen Going Under at Sam Fender's Newcastle gig as hosts in packed crowd

Ant and Dec were in fine voice on Saturday night, as they were bin the crowd at St James' Park to see Sam Fender play the second of two amazing sell out gigs.

After night one left tens of thousands of fans singing in the streets of Newcastle, Sam and his band were back on stage at the stadium 24 hours later, as a captive audience that included current NUFC stars Callum Wilson and Dan Burn, Magpies legend Alan Shearer and, of course, special guest star Brian Johnson, turned out for night two.

And Ant and Dec were also in the crowd, joking they were on home turf to support their 'Geordie nephew' at the gig, which arrived almost two years on from the Britain's Got Talent presenters surprising Sam with a number 1 album trophy to honour Seventeen Going Under rocketing straight to the top of the charts.

The title track of his second album was the penultimate song on Sam's St James' Park setlist, with the famous 'woah woah woahs' going on long after Sam had played his final chord, as fans filled the night air with the voices. And Ant and Dec were among those who revelled in the moment, sharing a video of themselves singing along with a packed crowd behind them.

After he stopped but Ant carried on, Dec pointed at the stage and joked: "He (Sam) can't get a word, nobody will stop chanting" and then as Ant got even louder, Dec shouted: "Shut up he wants to talk. Sam Fender wants to talk - SHUT UP!"

Ant and Dec posted a photo of themselves inside the ground before Sam arrive on stage, with one fan responding: "How come you two weren’t invited to sing Ready to Rhumble?" and another commenting: "Did Ant not check the weather report. Be boiling in that sweatshirt"
