Ant and Dec apologise minutes in on Britain's Got Talent over swearing incident

There was joviality as Britain's Got Talent's third live semi-final kicked off on Wednesday night. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly introduced judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell as usual.

But then the pair turned serious on the ITV talent show as they apologised for a swearing incident on the show. The previous night Bruno dropped the 'F-bomb' after being brought on stage with fellow judges for a horrifying act.

"We have to just say sorry if you heard a bit of choice language on this show last night. There will be none of that this evening," they reassured.

As they joked that they weren't going to be 'naming names,' Bruno looked guilty on the judging desk as the audience chanted his name. The camera then switched back to Ant and Dec for a jokey 'slap wrist' gesture.

In Tuesday's semi-final, the new judge was heard saying: "F**king hell Simon, not again" as they were called up on stage to take part in sword swallower Andrew Stanton's act. His slip of the tongue didn't go unnoticed by fans watching at home.

Andrew previously freaked out the judges and audience in the audition stage by first swallowing swords and then lifting chosen judge Amanda Holden with chains attached around his eyes. This time he brought all four judges up on stage and seated them in vehicle which he then proceeded to pull with his eyes again.

@JamesLarvin2 tweeted: "Bruno swearing on #BGT2023 during the sword act hahaha." And @EastEndersInsta said: "You can tell it’s gone 9pm, we’ve got a man swallowing swords with a lady called cupcake and Bruno swearing."

@andreasuffield defended: "Bruno swearing I would have aswell love him." And @DavidMackayy laughed: "Bruno Tonioli swearing on #bgt has been the best act of the night."
