The Cleveland Browns are down another offensive lineman as center Nick Harris is out for the season with a broken fibula suffered against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Carted off in the first quarter of this game, Harris was quickly ruled the rest of the way. Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed the fracture after the game to the Cleveland media. This is the second season-ending injury that Harris has suffered as a member of the Browns after tearing his ACL in 2022 as well.
Harris, after leaving Cleveland for the Seattle Seahawks in free agency this offseason, was re-acquired by the team this summer after Luke Wypler suffered a broken ankle in the first preseason game of the season. This means the Browns are down to their third backup center.
Already starting in this game due to an ankle injury to the starter Ethan Pocic, the Browns then turned to Michael Dunn to snap the football to quarterback Deshaun Watson in this game. Look for Dunn to continue to fill the void of backup center unless the Browns make another move this week.
